HARVEST
Will bear fruit after approx 15 months in spring and summer. Trees will fruit well for at least 5 years, so it is best to stagger planting of trees to ensure you have a fruitful harvest for many years to come. Pick papaya just before it fully ripens two thirds golden colour and allow it to fully ripen indoors. Ripe papaya colour varies from bright yellow, orange or red depending on variety.
EAT
Eat fresh or grated into a salad, you will find many ways to enjoy this glorious fruit.
PRESERVE
Freeze fresh papaya or dry it in slices for a snack.
