Pineapple sage is a perennial salvia and a favourite for birds, butterflies and bees with its bright red flowers. Pineapple sage grows best in temperate climates and can be grown in pots. It is propergated easily from cuttings and requires regular watering.

HARVEST

Cut flowers and young tender leaves throughout Spring and Summer. Grows 1-1.5m tall

EAT

The leaves and flowers are both edible and best used fresh to preserve the flavour and aroma. Fruit salads, iced teas and salads all are enhanced with pineapple sage.

PRESERVE

Best used fresh, just take what you need from the plant and leave the rest to grow.
