Urban Beekeepers of the Inner West care for European honey bees (Apis mellifera) in their backyards. They use natural and small scale beekeeping methods and leave plenty of honey behind in their hives for the bees to stay happy and healthy. All honey is harvested and cold extracted by hand. The honey is minimally filtered, so that it still contains traces of local pollen and propolis. The bees collect nectar and pollen from a wide variety of sources in the surrounding gardens and parks and thus the honey varies in flavour, texture and colour depending on the season, the weather and what is flowering. 

*Please note: Pick-up or local delivery is necessary for all fresh produce orders and preserves in glass jars, we can not post these. The option of pick-up is of course also available for all other items.
