EUREKA LEMON
Citrus limon
With its glossy green leaves and fragrant creamy white blossoms, this versatile tree is one of the most popular lemon trees grown in Australian backyards. A kitchen staple, its juice and zest can be used to add flavour to both savoury and sweet dishes. This tree is often grown as a feature, ornamental tree and in warm areas it produces fruit almost all year round.
PLANT
All year round, but preferably in August. When planting from seed, plants take 2-3 years to bear fruits.
HARVEST
Once matured it produces fruits two - three times per year. Pick lemons when their peels are bright yellow with a slight glossy appearance. The longer fruit stays on the tree the sweeter it gets. Tree grows up to 5 metres.
