GROWING GREENS: HERBS + SALADS

Greens_sq.jpg

In limited spaces herbs and salad greens are some of the greatest produce to grow, allowing you to have an abundance of fresh food to add to every homemade meal. Find satisfaction in wandering into your own backyard or balcony to pick an array of parsley and coriander to add flavour, or butter lettuce and mustard greens for a salad.

In this workshop we'll guide you through an introduction to setting up your own patch of greens - whether you have a sprawling yard, a courtyard, a balcony or even a sunny window, we'll help you have it flourishing with an abundant crop of organic produce in no time. You'll learn how to create and maintain healthy organic soil, understand the needs of plants, and how to work them into a space together.

Suitable for: All ages. Beginner to intermediate gardeners. Those who want to establish a new garden or revamp an existing one. Anyone interested in growing food using organic methods.

Cost: $20

Provided: A planted seedling to take home and kickstart your garden.
