Succulents! What would our balconies, windowsills, desks and gardens be without these colourful, diverse and trusty little gems?
This workshop will teach you the skills you need to grow your own succulent garden. You will learn how to make your own succulent mix, propagate different succulents, how to provide the optimum conditions and care for them, and what pests to look out for. Attendees will choose between a planter or a terrarium to plant out with a vast variety of succulents to take home with them - or to pass on as a Christmas gift!

Provided: Tea, detailed notes and a your choice of a terracotta pot or terrarium that you will plant out with succulents in the workshop to take home, as well as leaf cuttings.
Teacher: Jon Kingston studied horticultural science (B.Hort Sci) at UWS Hawkesbury and has worked in garden design, bush regeneration, vegetable gardens, horticulture retail and production for 15 years. During this time he has partaken in the design and delivery of over 10 community and/or edible garden projects including the James Street Community Garden in Redfern, The Wayside Chapel's gardens in Bondi Beach and Kings Cross, kitchen and cocktail gardens for numerous restaurants, a handful of new gardens for City West Housing and a range of private backyards and balconies. He specialises in ecological design, organic food production systems, and bush land restoration.
