On Saturday 19th June 2021 we are hosting Farmarama 2021! Part fundraiser, part winter solstice celebration, part 5th birthday party and ALL things farm! Join us at our Camperdown farm where we’ll be kicking off the family-friendly festivities at 2pm with workshops, farm tours, a welcome to Country, market stalls, lawn games and a community BBQ, before lantern making and a lantern farm walk at twilight. We’ll be rounding out the day with a very special farm-to-table dinner in the restaurant. There are a number of event tickets available below or you are welcome to come along and hang on the community lawn for our free afternoon of events including market stalls, lawn games and the twilight lantern farm walk.
Although we survived the challenges of 2020 it’s no secret that COVID has hit many not-for-profit organisations hard and our little farm is no exception. From having to cancel all our school and volunteer programs overnight, to hours on the farm dropping as Jobkeeper was rolled back and then having an entirely new team come on board for the Camperdown site, 2020 was a challenging year. Despite it all we are still here and the new shoots appearing out of the ground in the market garden are giving us hope for the future and cause to celebrate while acknowledging we need a bit of help.
We are aiming to raise $20,000 to allow us to continue to run our community programs for another year and push ahead with our farm upgrade projects increasing accessibility and education on site. In the month leading up to our Farmarama festivities we’re also running a crowdfund campaign to help us hit our fundraising goals. Over the month we’ll be uploading some great crowdfund rewards from our fave local and aligned businesses. How do I get a ticket to Farmarama 2021?! There’s a heap of ways you can get involved. All tickets are available through our crowdfunding campaign - choosing one of the perks will get you tickets to different events on the day. There’s also some great perks including PCF membership, plant sponsorship, rewards from local businesses and other ways to give even if you can’t make it to the farm on the day.
