The workshop is for the curious person who's heard about fermenting & preserving, but doesn't know where to start. It's to encourage people with basic food skills to have a go at putting some of the surplus produce away for use in future meals.

This workshop will teach you the background of our Australian native edible plants, how to identify species, as well as how to grow, care for, propagate and harvest these plants. You'll also have the chance to taste test some of our local species and learn how to use them in your cooking or for medicinal use at home.

This six-hour, hands-on workshop will give you a window into the fascinating world of natural backyard beekeeping, focusing on the European Honeybee (Apis Mellifera). The topics in this course will be explored with an emphasis on natural bee-friendly beekeeping, whereby the needs of the colony are given as much respect and significance as those of the beekeeper.

In this workshop, you will learn the health benefits of plant based eating, how to prepare three different plant-based seasonal dishes, and how to cook with lentils, beans, chickpeas, tofu and whole-grains. The dishes will incorporate vegetables freshly harvested from our farm. These fresh and plant based foods are packed with nutrients, simple to prepare, and super tasty. Come join us in decorating a cotton veg storage bag for Mum! To celebrate the mothers in our community, we’re welcoming children to a workshop that celebrates the bounty of the season, living joyful sustainability, and celebrating mothers! Together mothers and children will harvest delicious carrots on the farm, and then children will get to paint a cotton vegetable storage bag to keep veggies fresh in the fridge.

THE HAND CARVED KITCHEN
Learn an age-old craft and discover the sense of meditation and slowness to be found in whittling life's essential objects. This workshop will guide you through the stages of axe work and knife work. Learn about sourcing sustainable materials, the basics of traditional tool use, and how to safely turn a log into your favourite wooden utensil. Everyone starts with a log of sustainably sourced native timber and ends up with a utensil or two! And all the shavings will be composted at our farm.
